Tax Commissioner & Tag Office

The tax commissioner is responsible for complying with all constitutional laws of Georgia involving the Tax Commissioners Office. They are responsible for collecting property, mobile home, and timber tax and responsible for billing, collecting, disbursing, and accounting for all taxes collected in Marion County. They also follow rules and regulations set by the Department of Motor Vehicle Division and the Georgia department of revenue Property tax unit.

Motor Vehicles

Our office processes Vehicle Titles and Issues Tags/License Plates, including renewal of tags.

When applying for a Georgia Title, it must be processed in the county in which you live, along with the title you will need a Georgia’s Driver License reflecting your Marion County address, and proof of Georgia insurance to purchase a tag.
